Question and Answer 2 - November 16, 2007

First off, thanks for all the questions you sent in for Heather. We are going to start with the first set and and post more answers as the month goes on. If you don't see your question right away, check back periodically and you'll see it soon. Also, we had some of the same questions asked several times; we'll answer those first since so many of you want to know the same thing.

Q. How come some people seem to be able to find your new music online but it isn't on your page?

A. Well, no music has been ok'd to be on any other site, if you're hearing it already it is coming from someone who isn't suppose to be sharing it yet.

Q. Will you post new music soon?
A. I know it's been a long time since we've had new music up on the site. I was having trouble choosing what I was going to use for the next project . I have narrowed it down a bit, so hopefully, it won't be much longer.

Q. Can we e-mail you directly from your page.

A. No. I'm sorry. You can e-mail LeAnne and she takes care of making sure I get messages. I do check the guestbook, you can leave me a message there.

Q. Are you still married.

A. Yes, happily

Q. I read that you were adopted on your bio page. Do you know who your biological parents are and if you have any siblings?

A. Good question. Yes, I am adopted and I do know who who my biological parents are. I also know how many biological siblings I have.

Q. Do you have a fan club.

A. If I do, no one has told me about it. :)

Q. I want a copy of the old CD. I cannot find one anywhere. The OH site bounces me back here. What's the deal?

A. Many people have had a problem with that. We will be working on it to get it fixed. Thanks for waiting for it and not downloading it from a music site.

Q. How old are you and when were the pictures you have up taken?

A. I'm 28. The pictures on the page were taken last September. I know, I need to update the pics.

Q. Do you consider yourself a country artist?

A. That's a tough question. I have my roots in country music. I love to sing country. However, I write music that could be used in any genre.

Q. If you are doing a radio interview, can you post it on your site so we can catch it?

A. I will. In the past the invitations have come so quickly that I haven't had the time to.

Q. Is your husband still active duty? What does he do?

A. I'll answer part of that question. Yes, he is still active duty.

Q. What's your favorite food?

A. I love Mexican food.

Q. Do you support the war in Iraq?

A. Well, the way I look at it, my husband is going to be serving for a long time. I'm sure that each administration is going to make some decisions that I don't agree with. However, in the long run, it is not going to matter if I supported the people in each administration or not. It will, however, matter if I supported my husband. I will always be supportive of him whether or not I support the operation he's involved with.

Q. Where are you singing next? Can you put up a concert calendar?

A. I am still working on the project, I am not singing anywhere right now, except at church. If I ever have a set schedule, I'll share it with you.

Q. People leave some messed up comments on your page, why don't you just delete them?

A. Well, I think that most of my visitors realize that anyone with the desire to post mean things has something not going well in their lives. Besides, to delete it would mean that it bothers me. Things that are not true do not bother me. As long as there are no curse words or private information in the post, I'll leave it. Take your cue from me,just ignore them.

All the Stuff - April 10, 2007

We are still trying to get all the old articles back up on the new site. So keep checking for not only all the old press but for the new press to be lined up here for you to read as well.

Q and A with Heather - January 29, 2007

Q. I read an article that said you lived in Texas, is that true?

A. I am from Texas and we were stationed at Sheppard AFB when Keep Living was released. After my husband made it home in June, he was reassigned to a new base.

Q. What has been the coolest part of your experience with your song?

A. I am guessing that you mean Keep Living. It has been really exciting to hear from people who understand where I was coming from when I wrote it and to hear from those who are living the lyrics right now. When someone writes in and says," I really needed to hear that" or "thanks for writing down what I was trying to say" it makes me feel like I did the right thing by sharing it in the first place.

Q. I didn't get the USAA magazine that you were in, can I get another copy from you instead?

A. No, I'm sorry. I don't have extra copies. You might try contacting USAA directly and asking them.

Q. Are you going to make a whole cd?

A. (laughing) I've learned a lot in the last year. I really love writing music and will always write. I wrote music for years before Keep Living came out. I'm just not sure the life of an artist is for me. So, I doubt it. I'm writing for other people right now and I think it will be more fun that way.

Q. I know our OSC was trying to get you to come out for a meeting. Are you not traveling anymore?

A. I cut way back on traveling. I mean, James was gone for a year and now he's home. I wanted to focus on getting moved and settling into our new home together. I will still consider traveling on a case by case basis. I'm just not trying to fill up my schedule every quarter.

Q. Can we still get CDs for our Family Support Center?

A. Yes you can. You can order them from operationhomefront.com.

Q. It said on your last site that you were going to post new music soon. Are you still planning on doing that?

A. Yes, I'm working on some new music and will share it with you as soon as it is ready.

Q. Do you ever wish you hadn't put out a song?

A. That's a complicated question. There are days when I wish I had known more about what I was getting into. There has been a ton of legal tape and industry things I just knew nothing about. Some people just don't understand that I NEVER thought Keep Living was going this far. It was suppose to go into the Sheppard deployment packages, that was all I was planning on.

Q. What are you the most proud of from the CD.

A. I was happy that I was able to find sponsors in Wichita Falls to donate copies to the Sheppard Family Support Center. It felt good to be able to drop those copies off with Sgt. Z and know they were going to people who needed them.

Q. Where's the guestbook?
I know you had one on the last site.

A. Yeah, we had one on the last page. We finally pulled it because people were using it as an ad page trying to get customers to visit their business sites. We even had people leaving their phone numbers and personal information, trying to get a date with someone I guess. On top of that, we had arguments going on between visitors on the page and it got to be such a headache that we took it off . Sorry about that.

note...the guestbook is up again. Hopefully, things will stay calm.

Q. Do you sing at church now?

A. I should, it's harder to sing for small groups of people than it is for a large crowd. I would like to work in the youth music program.

Q. What has been the coolest thing you've done with music so far?

A. Well, I guess singing at the Air Tattoo last year in Ohio would count as being very cool. The people up there were great and I had a fantastic time.

Q. What do you do for fun when you're not writing music.

A. I am glad someone finally asked that. I love music but it's not my whole life. I love the things most other people love. I love cooking and I clean like crazy when I'm stressed out. I enjoy interior decorating, gardening, going to movies and hanging out with James for the evening. As a family, we try to stay busy too. We hit the zoo, the local museums, the bowling alleys and the rodeos, at least we did in Texas.
